Minnesota Public Radio Presents Saturday Night at the Stage Door Piano Bar Saturday, May 30

Apr 27, 2009

WHEN:

8 p.m. Saturday, May 30.

WHERE:

The Fitzgerald Theater, 10 E. Exchange St., St. Paul

TICKETS:

$29-$25. MPR members receive a $4 discount.

WHAT:

Minnesota Public Radio welcomes pianist Dan Chouinard and a crowd of his swellegant friends to toast the big-city charms of the classic piano bar. Torch songs, bawdy ballads and a blast of show tunes will turn the Fitzgerald Theater into a huge piano bar, with the help of talented vocalists such as Jody Briskey, Yolande Bruce, Jordan Sramek, Maria Jette, Prudence Johnson, John Munson and Vern Sutton. Former MPR host Katherine Lanpher will also be on hand for the party.

After the show, the party will head over to the Saint Paul Hotel for more drinks and piano bar action--with a chance for audience members to take over the microphone. Cocktail attire is not required but will certainly be welcome.
