Minnesota Public Radio Names Cathy Nevanen Network Sales Manager

Minnesota Public Radio announced today that it has named Cathy Nevanen network sales supervisor. In addition to her current responsibilities as sales account executive for MPR's Duluth network station, Nevanen will supervise MPR network stations sales representatives in Collegeville, Rochester, Bemidji/Brainerd and Moorhead, Minn. Nevanen will assume her new responsibilities on August 31, 2009.

Nevanen joined MPR in 2006. During her tenure, she has displayed leadership, great sales ability and a passion for the public radio mission. A native of Duluth, Minn., Nevanen has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota. She brings nearly 30 years of professional media experience, which includes news reporting and editing, public relations, communications and marketing.
