WHAT: 89.3 The Current and the Citizens League welcome Harvard Professor Michael J. Sandel for this installment of Policy and a Pint. A political philosopher and teacher, Sandel has written a new book, "Justice," based on his popular and influential undergraduate government course.
89.3 The Current's Steve Seel will host this conversation with Sandel. Expect questions such as: What are our obligations to others as people in a free society? Should government tax the rich to help the poor? Is the free market fair? Is it sometimes wrong to tell the truth? Is killing sometimes morally required? Do individual rights and the common good conflict?
WHEN: Thursday, Nov. 12. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Program begins at 6 p.m.

More about Michael Sandel
Michael Sandel is a professor of government at Harvard University, where he has taught since 1980. Sandel has lectured widely around the world on topics including democracy, liberalism, bioethics, globalization and justice. From 2002-2005, Sandel served on the President's Council on Bioethics. A member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Sandel received his doctorate from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
