Event and MPR broadcast series devoted to returning Vets
February 5, 2010; St. Paul, Minn.--For soldiers deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, the prospect of returning home is a hopeful one--a date circled on the calendar. Yet, upon returning, many veterans face challenges of reintegrating into day-to-day life. Recognizing this need, Minnesota Public Radio News invites veterans and their families to a special event on February 10, 2010 to share stories and advice. In addition, the program will welcome the return of Minnesota's 34th Red Bull Infantry Division, focusing on the unit's return and reintegration into family life and the workplace.
WHAT: "The Guide to Coming Home: For Veterans and By Veterans and Their Families," hosted by MPR's Kate Smith, with featured guest Dusty Oosteen, the Veterans case manager from St. Louis County Public Health and Human Services office.
