Minnesota Public Radio Elects Emery Koenig and James Prokopanko to Board of Trustees

(St. Paul, Minn.)--April 28, 2010--Minnesota Public Radio announced today it has elected two new members to its Board of Trustees: Emery Koenig, senior vice president, Cargill, Incorporated; and James Prokopanko, president and CEO, Mosaic.
"We are pleased that Emery Koenig and James Prokopanko have agreed to bring their expertise to MPR," said Bill Kling, president, MPR. "Both are senior leaders of international corporations with deep ties to Minnesota. A large part of MPR's success is due to its amazing Board of Trustees, and Emery and James will keep that tradition going."
Emery Koenig is a 31-year employee of Cargill with 14 years of agricultural commodity trading and managerial experience in various locations in the U.S., and 17 years in the international trading and risk management arena. Koenig is senior vice president, Cargill, Incorporated, and a member of its Corporate Leadership Team (CLT), a core executive group of seven people in charge of Cargill's overall strategy, growth and funding.
James Prokopanko joined Mosaic as its Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2006, becoming Mosaic's President and CEO in 2007. In addition to his role as President and CEO of Mosaic, Mr. Prokopanko serves on the Board of Directors for Mosaic, Canpotex, and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
