Minnesota Public Radio Presents "Magical Classical Cartoon Morning" Saturday Morning June 12 at The Fitzgerald Theater

WHAT: Saturday morning cartoon favorites hit the stage of The Fitzgerald Theater Saturday morning, June 12. Classical Minnesota Public Radio starts summer with the "Magical Classical Cartoon Morning" -- a vaudeville inspired movie party, projecting funny cartoons and live performances with classical accompaniment.
Classical MPR's Alison Young will host the show, and will be joined by Ballet Minnesota performing a number set to Mozart's Third Movement from his 40th symphony. Sopranorama --featuring Janis Hardy, Maria Jette, and Molly Sue McDonald--will draw from their vocal repertoire.
The movie party will also feature the Mighty Wurlitzer Theater Organ and pipe organ master Mike Grandchamp. Free coffee, juice and doughnuts will be provided while they last. Families are strongly encouraged to attend.
