MPR News Programming to Broadcast on KITF 88.3 FM in International Falls on December 1, 2010

(St. Paul, Minn.) --November 17, 2010-- Minnesota Public Radio announced today that listeners should set their radios to the new MPR News station KITF 88.3 FM in International Falls beginning December 1, 2010.
Residents of International Falls will have access to a stronger MPR News signal featuring programs like Morning Edition, Midmorning and Midday--as well as national programming such as Car Talk,® This American Life,® The Splendid Table,® Being, and everyone's favorite, A Prairie Home Companion.®
"We are proud to strengthen the MPR News service signal in International Falls," said Kristi Booth, director, MPR Regional Network. "Minnesota Public Radio seeks to bring the best news and information to Minnesotans all over the state, and a stronger signal in International Falls is an important milestone in this ongoing effort."
Programming in Greater Minnesota is possible in part by funding from the State of Minnesota as well as support from underwriters and members.

Tune In: Starting December 1, 2010, MPR News can be heard in International Falls on KITF 88.3 FM and on mprnews.org. (MPR News will discontinue broadcasting on translator 88.1 FM that same day.)
Listeners in International Falls can continue to tune in to Classical MPR on 97.7 FM.
