Classical MPR Presents Taste of the Holidays Exclusive CD & Concert with Steve Staruch

(St. Paul, Minn.) - December 1, 2010 - Back in its second year by popular demand, Taste of the Holidays with Classical MPR's Steve Staruch welcomes some of the region's finest musical groups to the historic Fitzgerald Theater to celebrate an evening of classical holiday cheer.

The line-up includes the Cooper Street Brass Quintet, Magnum Chorum, The Singers, Hiram Titus, Vecchione/Erdahl Duo and Dolce Winds featuring traditional and seasonal standards, including "The Nutcracker" and "Hallelujah Chorus." Together, these handpicked accomplished regional artists will create a beautiful buffet of Christmas music that will enchant the entire family.

WHERE: Fitzgerald Theater, 10 E. Exchange St., St. Paul

TICKETS: $29 for non-members $25 for MPR members. Tickets may be purchased through the Fitzgerald Theater box office at 651-290-1200 or fitzgeraldtheater.org.

Along with the performances at the Fitzgerald Theater, Taste of the Holidays also features an exclusive compilation CD; featuring audio from last year's Holiday broadcast available only from MPR. Listeners can get a copy of the CD by contacting Member Services at Minnesota Public Radio at 651-227-2811. In addition, the concert at The Fitzgerald Theater will also be broadcast on Classical MPR on December 6 and December 14 at 6 p.m., or December 21 at 7 p.m.
