More about Tim Johnson
Johnson is Morse Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professor of Political Science. He received his Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in 1998. Prior to joining the University of Minnesota Faculty he was Assistant Professor of Political Science at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
Johnson's research and teaching interests include American Politics, judicial politics, Supreme Court decision-making, Supreme Court oral arguments, executive/judiciary relations, and the evolution of the norm of respecting precedent. He has published multiple articles and is also the author of, "Oral Arguments and Decision Making on the U.S. Supreme Court."

"Policy and a Pint" is an ongoing series co-sponsored by Minnesota Public Radio's 89.3 The Current and Citizens League. The series' goal is to provide an informal setting for the public to come and discuss important policy issues with community leaders and thinkers.
