MPR NEWS INVESTIGATION REVEALS LAX ENFORCEMENT OF MINNESOTA'S SCHOOL ANTI-BULLYING LAWS

WHAT:
Starting Monday, MPR News will report the results of a six-month investigation on bullying in schools across the state. Education reporter Tom Weber has found a disturbing lack of oversight in Minnesota's anti-bullying laws. At the conclusion of the series, MPR News will convene a wide range of people close to the issue for a conversation about the problem of bullying in the schools: what's working and what more can be done on behalf of the victims.

THE EVENT:
Wednesday, May 18, 7-8:30 p.m. at MPR News Headquarters, 480 Cedar Street, St. Paul. Midday host Gary Eichten will moderate a "town hall" meeting on what needs to be done to prevent and monitor bullying in schools. An audience will offer suggestions, solutions, experiences and questions.
