Mason Jennings and Current DJs embark on a road-trip tour to Minneapolis, Duluth and Mankato

Tour to benefit Hunger-Free Minnesota

WHAT: In September, Mason Jennings will team up with 89.3 The Current for a road-trip tour celebrating his new release: "Minnesota." He'll be playing a series of free shows in intimate venues in Minneapolis, Duluth and Mankato, joined by 89.3 The Current DJs. The tour will benefit the Hunger-Free Minnesota effort.

"Minnesota" is Mason Jennings' ninth album. Jennings wrote and recorded the album entirely in Minnesota over the course of more than a year, capturing the seasons and moods of the state in his songs. The album will be released September 13, 2011. More information is available at masonjennings.com.

About The Current Road Trip
In 2010, The Current began hitting the pavement with "The Current Road Trip"--a concert series that brings the best of the Twin Cities' music scene to all corners of the state. Each concert features up-and-coming musical talents for an evening of music hosted by The Current DJs. Past concerts in Duluth, Mankato, Rochester and Austin featured Minnesota artists Jeremy Messersmith, Roma Di Luna, Dessa and Tapes 'n Tapes.

Tickets: In order to gain admittance to the Mason Jennings concert at the Electric Fetus, you must be one of the first 300 people to pre-buy either the "Minnesota" CD or the LP at the Minneapolis Electric Fetus store. One pass will be issued for each copy purchased; each pass will admit only one person. There will be a limit of four passes per customer to purchase.
