(St. Paul, Minn.) - October 18, 2011 - 89.3 The Current in the Twin Cities and WFUV 90.7 FM in New York will swap songs from hometown artists in "The Music Exchange" -- The Current's ongoing project to share emerging music from different scenes around the country.
WFUV 90.7 FM's Rita Houston and 89.3 The Current's Mark Wheat will unveil new music and commentary - on air and online -throughout the week October 24-28, 2011.
"The Music Exchange is such a cool concept," said Rita Houston, DJ and music director, WFUV, which calls its format Rock and Roots radio. "I love collaborating with other DJs and it's so important to support our local music scenes."
"Rita loves to go out to shows and has long been a champion of ecelctic music and great artists," says Mark Wheat, DJ, 89.3 The Current. "Our listeners will be treated to an industry veteran picking tunes from their ever-evolving scene today. It's definitely worth checking out."
