(St. Paul, Minn.)--March 12, 2012--Minnesota Public Radio announced today that it has named Lisa Radzak managing director for Public Strategy. In this role, Radzak will oversee MPR's government relations efforts, both on the state and local level as well as nationally in Washington, D.C.
"Lisa brings an infectious drive, passion and intelligence to her work," said Tom Kigin, senior vice president and general counsel, MPR. "We're pleased she has agreed to take on new responsibilities for us. She is a strong advocate for MPR and public media."
Radzak joined MPR in 2009 as its State Policy and Legislative Affairs manager. In her newly expanded role, Radzak will also work with national stakeholders, including the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, to ensure funding for public media. Radzak, a licensed attorney, will also continue to be an adjunct member or MPR's legal team.
Before joing MPR, Radzak worked at the Minnesota Legislature, in the Office of the House Majority Leader, where she served as a policy advisor and administrative liaison to other governmental bodies and agencies. Radzak is a graduate of William Mitchell College of Law and a member of the Minnesota Bar. She holds a degree in Spanish and political science from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
