Live performance by Jeremy Messersmith, plus greetings from members of the local arts community

WHAT: The Current's Morning Show is inviting the public to a live breakfast broadcast from the Red Stag Supperclub in NE Minneapolis on April 13, 6-10 a.m. The Current's Morning Show hosts Steve Seel and Jill Riley, heard weekday 6-10 a.m., will be ringleaders of the fun, chatting with guests and celebrating the arts community. Renowned local musician Jeremy Messersmith will join the crew to perform for the live and radio audiences.

Seel and Riley will also be joined by regulars of The Current's Morning Show: John Munson (Semisonic, New Standards and substitute host on The Current), plus Slug from Atmosphere, the Trivia Mafia and other ambassadors from the local arts community -- including Gabe Douglas from 4onthefloor, popular food critic Dara Moskowitz and KARE 11's weekday morning host Tim McNiff.

Listeners will also hear favorite features heard on The Current's Morning Show--the Random Vinyl pick, the 9:30 Coffee Break plus Music History and News.

For those attending the live broadcast, The Red Stag will offer a special breakfast menu for purchase--featuring pancakes, granola, egg scrambles, breakfast sandwiches and beverages. Those who would like to tweet from the live broadcast should use the hashtag #currentbreakfast.
