Minnesota Public Radio Elects Elise Donohue to Board of Trustees

Saint Paul, MN - (April 17, 2012) - Minnesota Public Radio today announced that Elise Donohue has been elected to MPR's board of trustees.

Ms. Donohue is a rancher who raises cattle in Montana with her son. She has served on the board of the Montana Land Alliance, and is currently on the national advisory boards of the Museum of the Rockies and of Shakespeare in the Parks.

Ms. Donohue is the daughter of the late Sarah Maud Sivertsen and step-daughter of R.J. "Bob" Sivertsen, an MPR life trustee. The Sivertsens were among the earliest "investors" in the vision and public service mission of MPR, and the broadcast center's Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Studio - a world-class, state-of-the-art recording facility - was named after Ms. Sivertsen's mother. Ms. Donohue shares the Sivertsens' love for classical music, and is also committed to the importance of public service media journalism in society.
