"When we looked at the range of American choirs, we asked ourselves: which ensemble might attract the largest possible audience and give a truly memorable performance?," said Brain Newhouse, managing director of classical music services. "It was an easy pick: the Mormon Tabernacle Choir."

With more than 300 voices, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir returns to the Target Center after a 20-year hiatus and will perform a broad range of music during the concert. Concert selections will be drawn from the Choir's vast repertoire which ranges from Bach to Broadway. The concert will feature choral masterworks, American folk music, hymns, music from around the world and patriotic music. Several of the Choir's signature pieces, including its Grammy Award-winning version of "Battle Hymn of the Republic," will be included on the program. Sixty-five members of the Orchestra at Temple Square will accompany the Choir on tour.
