Minnesota music rocks and 89.3 The Current will spotlight the region's white-hot music scene with "Local Current Live," a free show on Thursday, Feb. 28.
Join 89.3 The Current at the Amsterdam Bar and Hall in downtown St. Paul for this showcase featuring a great mix of local acts: the distorted rock and roll of Prissy Clerks, the eerie folk of The Ericksons backed by members of Field Report and rising hip-hop star Greg Grease with special guests. The Local Current crew--David Campbell and Andrea Swensson - will be your emcees for the night. 89.3 The Current is proud to be part of the Minnesota music community and the weekly program "The Local Show," Sunday nights 6-8 p.m., is a dedicated space for local musicians to be heard on the radio dial. Online, the Local Current blog features the latest news from the local music scene, penned by Andrea Swensson, as well as a 24/7 web stream of homegrown Minnesota music. "Local Current Live" is made possible in part by is supported in part by the Legacy Amendment for Arts and Cultural Heritage.
