The Current to Celebrate 9th Birthday with a Two-night Bash January 24 & 25 at First Avenue

Blowing out the candles on the birthday cake once again, 89.3 The Current today announced that it will celebrate its ninth birthday with a two-day bash featuring the region's hottest musical acts on January 24 and 25, 2014, at First Avenue in Minneapolis.
Friday night's (January 24) line-up includes rockin' singer-songwriter and Grand Rapids native Actual Wolf, electro-pop groove masters Strange Names, Chalice rapper Lizzo (hot off the heels of her solo debut and Twin Cities Critics Tally nod), and soulful singer and showman Har Mar Superstar.
On Saturday night (January 25), classic country band Cactus Blossoms, St. Paul based rap giants Heiruspecs, indie darlings Howler and neo-soul singer Caroline Smith and her band will take the stage.
Both nights will also feature music spun by The Current DJs. Ticket sale information is detailed below.

First Avenue's The Depot: A limited number of tickets will be available to MPR Members and the general public for $20 by going in person to The Depot, Wednesday, January 8 at noon. There is no service charge for purchasing tickets in person at The Depot during the pre-sale. Limit 2 tickets per person, per night. The Depot is located at 17 North 7th Street.
