The Current Celebrates 20 years on-air with two shows in January

On Jan. 24, 2025, The Current, one of Minnesota Public Radio’s three services, will celebrate 20 years of being on-air, online, and in the community. Since playing its first song (Atmosphere’s “Say Shh”), the station has won over a loyal local audience, become an industry leader within the Triple A radio format nationwide, helped launch the careers of well-known artists, and grown into a far-reaching community, with members and online listeners from around the world.  

Performance Today Announces Five Students for 2024-2025 Young Artist in Residency Program

YourClassical’s Performance Today, America’s most popular classical music radio program, has announced the five musicians who will make up this year’s Performance Today Young Artists in Residence program (PTYA). Performance Today works with the top music conservatories from around the country to identify their most promising talent to take part in the PTYA Program each year. 

MPR News names Nina Moini as new host of Minnesota Now

The search for a new host who could continue to build authentic connections with Minnesotans around the state led back to the MPR newsroom and Nina Moini, a reporter with host and editor experience at MPR News since 2017. Moini will begin her new host duties in mid-November.
