MPR News today announced that The Takeaway will replace NPR's Talk of the Nation during the Monday -Thursday 1 p.m. time slot, beginning Monday, July 1. NPR announced in late March that it was canceling Talk of the Nation, effective July 1. Listeners will continue to hear Science Friday on Fridays at 1 p.m.
MPR Launches The Current in Grand Rapids
89.3 The Current's Morning Show will be broadcasting live from the Longfellow Grill in Minneapolis, this Friday, June 7. This 2nd annual live broadcast will feature musical performances from Caroline Smith and the Goodnight sleeps and the Cactus Blossoms, plus trivia, games and visits from some Morning Show favorite guests.
